It's Time for another Transformers Movie Everyone! I am going to analyzing/reviewing or at least giving my first thoughts on the Trailers for Transformers III: The Dark of the Moon.
As the Trailer starts out you can see the Apollo (forgive me I can't remember which) landing on the moon as it says "A Generation's Greatest Achievement" which Immediately connects this film to the American psyche...Thank you Michael Bay.
Speaking of Michael Bay, this is very quiet and subdued for a Michael Bay film. In comparison to the Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen Trailer...here...
That trailer just wants to blow you away with it's incredible visuals something that Michael Bay loves to do and does it well. This Type of Trailer is quite the anomaly in that it seems to want to be mysterious when we already know all the answers the film is asking us. Transformers III's Trailer is very odd for the Third Installment of a Trilogy when we already know the big secrets in the story. However one of the reasons I love Transformers as a piece of Fiction is the fact that there are an almost infinite number of Stories you can choose from.
Getting Back to the Trailer, it shows us clips from the 1960s Moon Landing making us (Americans) feel at home and familiar until it says "A Secret Hidden for 40 Years" where it gives a much more eerie feeling until finally we are shown a giant Cybertronian Spaceship crashed on the moon. I being the massive Transformers fan I being the massive Transformers fan I am Jaw Dropped I mean it was (excuse my language) Fucking Epic!!
The Astronauts head in and investigate and we get the same "My God!" that I seem to hear in every action movie trailer. Also I'm I the only one wondering whether this ship is the Nemesis from that one scene where Megs is talking to Screamer and The Fallen? The Astronauts wonder around the Derelict Vessel as the say cliche lines like "We are not Alone" at this point one of the Astronauts announces "You will not Believe what we're seeing!" the two lines i have just referenced have also been made redundant by the fact that this is a Threequel! we already know we're not Alone! however the other line does draw in suspense as the transformers multiverse has many different things which he could have seen.
The Trailer then proceeds to slowly move the camera into the middle of the ship as we see this guy...
3 thoughts came to mind as I saw this Guy...
Alpha Trion

Sentinel Prime
I Also think It could be Sentinel Prime; the Autobot Optimus took the mantle of Leader from, as he has a Similar colour and unlike recent years Sentinel Prime Pre-2008 seems to be an honourable Alpha Trion like figure and I would love the idea if they used him like Prime's older teacher who have became separated in the years since Optimus lefted Cybertron.
Unicron
I Would love it if they introduced Unicron in this Movie, however if he is Regular Transformer sized i shall be annoyed beyond belief! mainly it's the colour and the facial hair but dear god I hope that isn't Unicron.
